1.What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer, tablet, smartphone, or other device when you visit a website or use a web application. They are widely used by website and application owners to make their services work, work more efficiently, and to provide analytical and reporting information. Cookies set by the website owner (in this case, Zeraynce for the Atelier Platform) are called "first-party cookies." Cookies set by parties other than the website owner are called "third-party cookies." Third-party cookies enable third-party features or functionality to be provided on or through the website — such as analytics, interactive content, and payment processing.
How Cookies Work
When you access the Atelier Platform, our servers send a cookie to your browser, which stores it on your device. Each time you make a subsequent request to our servers, your browser sends the cookie back to us, allowing us to recognize your device and tailor your experience accordingly. Cookies do not contain your personal information on their own — they typically contain a unique identifier that links to information stored on our servers.
Similar Technologies
In addition to cookies, we also use similar tracking technologies such as web beacons (also known as pixel tags or clear GIFs), local storage (HTML5 localStorage and sessionStorage), and session identifiers. These technologies work similarly to cookies and are used for the purposes described in this policy. References to "cookies" throughout this document include these similar technologies unless stated otherwise.
2.Types of Cookies We Use
Atelier uses several categories of cookies, each serving a distinct purpose. We classify our cookies based on their duration and their function. Understanding these categories will help you make informed choices about your cookie preferences.
Session Cookies
Session cookies are temporary cookies that exist only for the duration of your visit. They are deleted automatically from your device when you close your browser. We use session cookies to maintain your login state during a session, manage page navigation, and ensure that actions you take within the Platform are properly recorded and sequenced.
Persistent Cookies
Persistent cookies remain on your device for a set period of time after you close your browser (the duration varies by cookie). They are used to remember your preferences and settings between visits, so you do not have to re-enter them each time you return. For example, we use persistent cookies to remember your preferred language, display settings, and notification preferences.
First-Party Cookies
First-party cookies are set directly by Atelier and Zeraynce. They are used exclusively for purposes related to operating the Platform, including authentication, security, preferences, and internal analytics. We maintain full control over first-party cookies and their data.
Third-Party Cookies
Third-party cookies are set by external service providers that we use to help operate and improve the Platform. These providers may include analytics services, performance monitoring tools, and payment processors. Third-party cookies are governed by the privacy and cookie policies of those providers, and we encourage you to review those policies for more information.
3.Strictly Necessary Cookies
Strictly necessary cookies are essential for the basic functioning of the Atelier Platform. Without these cookies, services that you have asked for — such as logging into your account, navigating between pages, or submitting forms — cannot be provided. These cookies do not store any personally identifiable information and cannot be disabled through our cookie preference center. You can set your browser to block these cookies, but this will significantly impair or prevent Platform functionality.
Authentication Cookies
We use authentication cookies to identify you when you log in to your Atelier account and to keep you logged in during your session. These cookies contain a secure, encrypted session token that is verified by our servers with each request. They expire when you log out or when your session times out due to inactivity.
Security Cookies
Security cookies help us detect and prevent fraudulent activity, protect the Platform from attacks such as cross-site request forgery (CSRF), and enforce our security policies. These cookies do not contain personal information but are critical for maintaining a safe and trusted environment for all users.
Load Balancing Cookies
We use technical cookies to distribute incoming traffic across our server infrastructure. These cookies ensure that requests from the same user session are consistently routed to the same server, preventing errors and maintaining a stable experience during your session. They contain no personally identifiable information.
5.Functional Cookies
Functional cookies allow the Platform to remember choices you make and provide enhanced, more personalized features. They may be set by us or by third-party providers whose services we have added to our pages. If you do not allow functional cookies, some or all of these personalized features may not function correctly.
Preference Cookies
We use preference cookies to remember settings you have chosen, such as your notification preferences, display mode settings, and other interface customizations. These cookies improve your experience by ensuring that you do not have to re-configure your preferences on every visit.
Language and Localization Cookies
If the Platform is made available in multiple languages or with regional variations, we use cookies to remember your language preference and regional settings. This ensures that content is displayed in your preferred language during subsequent visits.
6.Cookie Durations and Identifiers
The following table describes the main cookies used on the Atelier Platform, their purpose, and how long they persist. Cookie names and durations may change as the Platform evolves. We will update this section when material changes occur.
Short-Lived Session Tokens
Session authentication tokens (e.g., atelier_session) expire when you close your browser or after a period of inactivity, typically 24 hours. These are the most sensitive cookies and are protected with the Secure and HttpOnly flags to prevent interception and client-side access.
Persistent Preference Cookies
Preference and settings cookies (e.g., atelier_prefs) typically persist for 30 to 365 days. They are renewed each time you interact with the relevant setting and can be cleared by deleting cookies from your browser settings.
Analytics Identifiers
Analytics cookies that assign an anonymized visitor ID typically persist for 12 to 24 months. These identifiers are used only for aggregated analytics and do not contain or link to personally identifiable information.
7.Managing and Controlling Cookies
You have several options for controlling the cookies that are placed on your device. Please note that disabling certain categories of cookies may affect the functionality of the Atelier Platform and your ability to use certain features. We encourage you to review your preferences carefully.
Browser Settings
Most web browsers allow you to view, manage, delete, and block cookies through their settings menus. The specific process varies by browser. You can typically find cookie settings under Privacy, Security, or Content Settings in your browser preferences. Note that clearing cookies will log you out of the Platform and reset your saved preferences.
Do Not Track
Some browsers transmit a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal to websites indicating that you do not want to be tracked. At this time, there is no universally accepted standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals. The Atelier Platform does not currently alter its behavior in response to DNT signals, but we remain committed to reviewing this position as industry standards evolve.
Opt-Out of Third-Party Analytics
For third-party analytics tools, you may be able to opt out directly through the tool provider's opt-out mechanism. Instructions for opting out of major analytics providers are typically available on their respective websites.
8.Cookie Consent and Updates
When you first access the Atelier Platform, you will be presented with information about our cookie practices. By continuing to use the Platform, you acknowledge our use of strictly necessary cookies. For non-essential cookies, we will provide appropriate consent mechanisms where required by applicable law.
Consent for Non-Essential Cookies
Where required by law (such as under the EU ePrivacy Directive or similar regulations), we will seek your consent before placing non-essential cookies on your device. You may withdraw your consent at any time by adjusting your cookie preferences or browser settings.
Policy Updates
We may update this Cookie Policy periodically to reflect changes in our cookie practices, legal requirements, or the services we provide. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this document indicates when it was last revised. We encourage you to review this policy regularly. Continued use of the Platform following any updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised Cookie Policy.
